Social Chair

The Social Chair is responsible for planning and coordinating events that foster connection, community, and service among the LMSC members, both in and out of the pool. This role brings our team together in meaningful and memorable ways and helps make the LMSC experience more than laps and lanes.

We aim to host two to four social or charitable events per year. Past events have included a group outing to a Pittsburgh Pirates game and organizing the annual banquet, most recently held in 2023. While some ideas, such as a waterway cleanup, have yet to come to life, there's plenty of room for creativity and new traditions.

The Social Chair works closely with a small committee of members-at-large who support event planning and execution. This is a great role for someone who enjoys building community, planning gatherings, and making fun happen.
